MCAT Verbal Reasoning

The MCAT Verbal Reasoning section is the second section on the MCAT, and it presents test takers with written passages followed by a series of questions. The passages are generally written in a dense and complicated manner.

The format is similar to reading comprehension sections on other standardized tests. Because the format looks and feels familiar, at first glance, students may think this section is easier. Don't be fooled, it's not easier. That said, if you take the time to fully prepare for the Verbal section you'll gain the skills and the confidence to score well.

With the computer-based MCAT, you'll be reading these complicated passages on a computer screen. Our MCAT prep program includes five full-length, computer-based tests that are exactly like the real test. This type of practice is essential to your success on the real exam.
